The function of the ‘Assistant to Group Finance Manager’ role is to ensure that all financial services, including maintaining financial records, processing payments, cash handling and salaries,rendered to the business units are proactive, timely, and meet their respective requirements.
The person shall be equipped with the right technical expertise in financial planning, corporate finance and business control necessary to guide senior management towards profitability and sustainability.

  • Participate in the formulation of function’s strategy and long-term goals.
  • Support establishing financial forecasts and budgets for the group.
  • Implement financial policies, procedures and internal control systems to monitor performance,safeguard company assets, adherence to budget, expenditures, income and other budgetary items.
  • Manage group’s liquidity and its day to day cash management.
  • Gather data from the diverse business units to generate financial consolidation of the group and make sure balances are up to date.
  • Direct and ensure the integrity, preparation, review, analysis and timely submission of all financial reports.
  • Perform all accounting practices including bank reconciliation, taxation, CNSS, payroll etc..
  • Maintain strong working relationships with banks, financial institutions, external auditors and legal counsels.
  • Provide research analysis on market direction, impact of economic influences on the industry and investment opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in financial regulations.

Suitable candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 8+ years’ experience working with a finance department.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Able to manage high volume workload
  • Able to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervision
  • Good analytical ability
  • Good problem-solving ability

Applicants should reside within close jurisdiction of the work location – Jbeil District.
